Portland Playback

Portland Playback Theatre Company uses immediate enactment to honor the stories that shape our lives. The story “tellers” (audience members) share these events with the actors. Through the use of movement, dialogue and music, these stories are recreated onstage by improvisation. This “playback” experience fosters compassion within a community and helps to illuminate the universal truths and threads within the human condition.
