Since every project is different, you should speak to our team for any information about rates and services for a particular project. However, the following list will give you a very general range of our fees for typical projects. grantwinners.net is a member in good standing of the Portland Time Bank and does accept Time Dollars as payment; please contact us for details.
Does grantwinners.net work on commission? The short answer is "no." The explanation is at the bottom of this page.

consulting services
Grant application and funding process
education, program design, grant proposal project management, and
most other advice or guidance services are typically billed at a
rate of $75 per hour.
research
Simple searches providing a list of
potential foundation or corporate funding partners run
approximately $200. Keep in mind, however, the list we provide at
this level is not based on exhaustive research. We check the major
elements of a funder's parameters (geography, funding exclusions,
general goals). This list is only a starting point for
more detailed research.
Detailed searches for foundation funding, ranging from $400-600, result in a list of potential funding partners more closely linked to your project or organization. This more comprehensive list will include previously funded organizations and projects, lists of board members, and, most important, a description of the funder's mission: who are they really looking to support.

proposal preparation
Most "mini-proposals" or letters of inquiry
require substantial planning on your part. The fee range for this
initial work is quite wide based on your readiness. Typical letters
of inquiry range from $225 to over $500. The advantage of preparing
a high quality letter of inquiry is that the content can easily be
shaped for future letters to other potential funding
partners.
Full proposals, too, have a very wide range of typical rates. For a project with clearly established goals, objectives, quantifiable outcomes, and existing financial support, a full proposal might run just $500. However, many organizations have not addressed the questions funders want answered. Most full proposals to foundations range from $1500-2000. Federal grants range from $5,000-10,000 depending on client experience, readiness, and timing.

workshops
Our standard "how-to" workshop can be
tailored to your group's needs. An outline for our most popular
workshop can be downloaded here. In
"Grant Seeking: Envision, Examine, and Execute" participants will
explore the two biggest "secrets" to winning grants: planning and
research. Typically we offer a full day workshop, or two half days,
at $1200 plus expenses.

Will grantwinners.net work on a commission/contingency basis?
One question we are asked with some regularity is "what are your rates if we don't get the grant?" Our fees are the same if we win the grant or if we don't. Too many factors involved in winning grants are entirely unrelated to the quality of our team's grant seeking skills. We are professionals who only work for free when we act as volunteers (which we all do!). This issue is best explained here.
